Event Description:
Panel Talk & Reception: Return to Entry

Join us at 5:30PM on Thursday, April 4, 2019, for a panel talk and reception, discussing "WHAT IF artists helped us get to space?" Looking at the past, present, and future, our panel will discuss the historical importance of speculative engineering in science fiction literature and film, and delve into how and why artists could be involved in space exploration in the future. Hosted by Janna Ahrndt, the panel will feature NASA spacesuit designer Amy Ross, Visiting Assistant Professor Jennifer Scheuer, and artists Frances Gallardo and Michael Oatman. The panel talk will start at 5:30PM in Fowler Hall, with the reception following in the Ringel Gallery. Return to Entry will be on display March 25 - May 11. Robert L. Ringel Gallery is located in Stewart Center, 128 Memorial Mall, West Lafayette, and is open 10AM – 7PM, Monday through Saturday.
