Event Description:
Discovery Park Distinguished Lecture Series: Dario Gil

Join us Friday, January 25 at 11:00 am at Rawls Hall, room 1062 to hear Discovery Park Distinguished Lecture Series seminar speaker, Dr. Dario Gil present the talk entitled, The Future of AI and Quantum Computing.” Dr. Gil is the Chief Operating Officer of IBM Research, a global organization with more than 3,000 researchers across 13 laboratories and 21 locations devoted to advancing the frontiers of information technology. He also serves as the Vice President of AI and Quantum Computing and is responsible for IBM’s global research efforts in artificial intelligence and quantum computing program. Dr. Gil’s seminar will be part of Purdue University’s 150th anniversary events. Our anniversary theme is “Giant Leaps,” inspired by Neil Armstrong’s historic statement on the moon and includes a yearlong Ideas Festival focused on topics that allow Boilermakers everywhere a chance to reflect on the past, embrace the present and look to the future that Boilermakers will be instrumental in creating.
